Matthew Libassi is a Los Angeles based photographer.  He studied English at UNC Chapel Hill, and went on to work in the music industry under Ryan Gentles, manager of The Strokes.  While touring with members of the band, Matthew began taking photographs.

He spent the next 3 years shooting on the street in New York City.  His style led him to commissions for clients including Ford Models, The Louis Vuitton X Exhibition, IMG, and Moxy Hotels.

Music has been a central part of Matthew's life and remains one of his core influences.  He has photographed live performances, studio sessions and shot portraits of artists and producers.  Matthew was commissioned by Grammy winning producer Boi-1da (Eminem, Lana Del Rey, Nas, Drake) to document his studio sessions.

Matthew is available for commissions and assignments in Los Angeles and beyond.
